Who can participate in YEA! programs?
YEA! programs are open to young people across Albania, primarily students in grades 6–11 for the After School program. The YEA! Awards and entrepreneurship competitions welcome anyone with an idea and the drive to build it — no prior business experience required. Volunteers and recent graduates can also join as mentors or program staff.
How do I apply for a YEA! Award or scholarship?
Applications open each cycle through the YEA! website at yea.al. You submit your project idea or business concept, go through a mentoring phase, and present to a jury in the final round. Scholarships follow a separate selection process — check the Scholarships section on the site for current openings and eligibility criteria.
Is YEA! only active in Shkodër, or can I join from elsewhere in Albania?
YEA! is headquartered in Shkodër but its programs — including Erasmus+ exchanges, online competitions, and the YouthStart EU Award — reach participants across Albania and Europe. Some programs are fully in-person in Shkodër; others are open to remote applicants. Contact info@yea.al to find out which current programs you can join from your location.
