Program Highlights
Online Events:
- Kick Off WGT Event 2022
Dates: March 4, 5, 6
Time: 4 to 8 pm CET+1
This online kickoff features an inspiring talk on climate change and youth action, interactive sessions with decision-makers, and a YouthGoals Challenge. Teams will present their ideas and celebrate at the “We Grow Together” party. - Together for Climate Education & Entrepreneurship
Dates: May 6, 7, 8, 11
Time: 4 to 8 pm CET+1
This segment offers workshops on leveraging social media for climate advocacy and developing YouthGoal projects. Participants will receive training to refine and present their initiatives. - WGT Thank You & Follow-up Event
Dates: October 28 & 29
Time: 4 to 8 pm CET+1
The concluding online event will highlight achievements, provide project follow-up, and support ongoing climate initiatives.
Live Event in The Netherlands:
- Official WGT Event 2022
Dates: June 26 to July 1
This week-long live event in The Netherlands will feature intensive workshops, networking opportunities, and collaborative project development, bringing together participants for a comprehensive experience.
Event Topics and Goals
- Climate Education for Youth: Ensuring that all young people have access to vital climate education, fostering awareness and action on climate issues.
- Climate Entrepreneurship: Empowering participants to transform innovative ideas into local projects and start-ups that drive climate improvement.
- EU Youth Goals Alignment: Addressing the 11 EU Youth Goals through collaboration with youth and decision-makers from various countries.
- WGT Community Engagement: Building a diverse network of young leaders, newcomers, and youth from developing countries and migrant backgrounds.
Key Activities
- Day 1 (March 4): Opening ceremony, interactive meet & greet with decision-makers, YouthGoals Challenge, and project pitches, followed by a “We Grow Together” party.
- Day 2 (March 5): Introduction to the year’s program and live event in The Netherlands, interactive workshop on critical thinking, and a “We Grow Together” party.
- Day 3 (March 6): Workshops on climate education and entrepreneurship, social media strategies, and project development training, ending with a cultural evening party.
- Day 4 (March 13): YouthGoal project pitches, introduction to the Living Legends Community and YouthPass, followed by a closing party.
